Our Best Disney World Quick Service Spots

One of the many wonderful things you can look forward too with your Disney World Vacation is great food. There is something to please everyone from foodies with fine palates to the pickiest of eaters.

One of the most popular dining options for families is quick service dining. There are close to 100 quick service dining spots to be found in Walt Disney World.  Park visitors can stop by any of these dining venues and purchase something delicious to eat.  Families who are staying in the park at a Walt Disney World resort can elect to purchase a Disney Dining Plan as part of their vacation package. We HIGHLY recommend this option so that you are free to enjoy all the wonderful food Disney has to offer.

When most people thing of quick service dining, they think of fast food. When it comes to Disney, think of great food done fast. Simply place an order at the counter for your family and it will be served up to you cafeteria style on a tray in short order. When you're finished, clear your table and it's off to more fun in the parks.

If you choose a quick service dining plan we promise you won't be stuck eating chicken nuggets and hot dogs for your entire vacation (unless you want to).  Disney Quick Service restaurants offer a wide variety of fun, fresh and healthy choices to please every palate. Chefs will even cater to those folks with food sensativities or special dietary needs.

If you're a returning Disney World guest, no doubt you have your favorite quick service spots. If it's been a while or if you're a Disney newbie, here are a few of our Vacationkids staff favorites. I will tell you, this list led to tons of discussion here at the office and plenty of "less filling/tastes great arguements...here goes our top 10 countdown of Quick Service restaurant favorites in Disney World :

10. EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons at the Land: (see photo above) Huge variety of dining choices here from crafted salads, fresh sandwiches, Asian specialties, grilled chicken and lots of grab and go snacks.  There is plenty of air conditioned seating. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Grab a fast pass for Soarin and relax with a nice meal while you wait.

9. Magic Kingdom - Casey's Corner - Hot dogs, corn dogs and hot cheese sauce. Ball park food is good for the soul sometimes. Located right at the end of Main Street at the foot of Cinderellas Castle, smack dab between Pirates and Space Mountain that the cross roads of Disney World. If the views aren't enough, there's always Jim and his ragtime tunes on the piano.

8.Downtown Disney - The Earl of Sandwich Open breakfast, lunch and dinner with a wide assortment of artisan soups, salads, wraps and salads. Big portions and delicious combinations of flavors. Bring your appetite!

7. Animal Kingdom - Yak & Yeti's Cafe - Treat yourself to Asian delites like Manderin Chicken, Egg rolls and delicious desserts. Located near Expedition Everest but be sure to eat after the ride!

6. Hollywood Studios- Starring Rolls Cafe - Located on Hollywood Boulevard and open for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy abundant sandwiches, pastries and scrumptious desserts.

5. Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ - Near the bridge to Dinoland, Just follow your nose. Plenty of seating with lakeside views. Wood flames plus meat equal delicious. Try to leave room for sides and desserts if you can. Portions big enough to share.

4. Magic Kingdom - Columbia Harbour House -Located right across from the Haunted Mansion. Lighthouse sandwich, fried shrimp and mac & cheese tops picks. Look for the stairwell, plenty of extra seating upstairs that often is overlooked.

3. Epcot -La Cantina de San Angel -Right across from the Pyramid in the World Showcase. Dine indoors or al fresco by the water. Mucho Mexican favorites including frozen margaritas.

2. Polynesian Resort - Captain Cooks - Tonga Toast, Adult grilled cheese and self serve Dole whip - Enuff said! Take your order to go and enjoy a picnic in a hammock down on the  beach.

1. Epcot  - Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie - Croque Monsieur, Quiche Lorraine, Napoleons and Eclairs. This is how the French do fast food. A bit out of the way at the end of one of the aisles in France but definitely worth the trouble.
